Job Description
The Multimedia Designer is responsible for determining and implementing the overall visual strategy for the Office of Research Communications, which includes the department’s digital, graphic, print, photographic, and motion graphic requirements. You’ll be leading huge, complicated projects with colleagues from across campus, as well as conceiving, planning, creating, editing, and delivering multimedia products. This person must be capable of consistently producing or delivering clean, polished, professional designs and layouts that align with the brand and identity of the university and promote the university’s research advancements, collaborations, and the resulting impact on individuals, our nation, and our world.

Qualifications:
- Collaborate with sales and production staff to create print files for custom graphic orders received each day; produce at a high rate while ensuring accuracy, adhering to quality standards, and meeting or beating production deadlines.
- Based on your own assessment and outside feedback, refine and generate final design solutions.
- Report on the progress of the project and see that it is completed on schedule and within the set budget.
- Develop and explore innovative techniques for expressing information that enable more accuracy, simplicity of template use, or clearer communication while retaining a sophisticated visual aesthetic.
- Construct identifying markers such logos, banners, social media initiatives, advertising initiatives, brand systems, shortened and lengthened video edits, illustrations, and animated visuals/graphics.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing department to design and produce marketing communications materials that reflect the KwikBoost brand standards. These materials may include sell sheets, flyers, advertisements and banner ads, packaging, product instruction sheets, presentations, email and social media campaigns, website product pages, landing pages, and trade show materials.
- Control the creation of marketing messages from conception to completion.
- Create preliminary designs, concept drawings, models, and prototypes utilizing a variety of methods.
- Using KeyShot or another 3D modeling program, you may add and animate products in both 2D and 3D settings.
- Recognize the principles and requirements for the project, participate, and seek clarification as needed.
Skills:
- Able to effectively interact with staff members of varying technical knowledge requires advanced interpersonal and professional communication skills.

- Proficient knowledge of Adobe’s Creative Suite, including the most up-to-date versions of Premiere/Affect Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Creative Cloud, is required.
