Job Description

The Junior Financial Analyst assists the Finance team’s Analysts in conducting analysis, making suggestions, and putting profit improvement projects, strategic alignment activities, and sales and income goals into action. To assemble data and assess the financial feasibility of different new products, promotions, and initiatives, the Junior Financial Analyst will work with a range of corporate departments including Marketing, Sales, Forecasting & Planning, Cost, and Financial Accounting. For a range of corporate divisions, this job supports with updating reports, dashboards, and monitoring key performance metrics. In addition, the Junior Financial Analyst will help in the preparation of presentations for different members of the management team.

Qualifications:

  • Provides a comprehensive view of the project’s business case by doing a sensitivity analysis and taking into account the ramifications of various financing arrangements, utility rate structures, tax policies, and federal and state governmental support. Inspires the country’s government to build a major, renewable energy project.
  • Data query and data management tools are essential skills in every financial analyst job description, and Excel proficiency is a must (Access, SQL, Business Objects)
  • Involvement in the Operational/Organizational Assessment or other organizational realignments or remediation’s may need assistance in formulating, executing, reporting, managing, delivering, and maintaining new FMD duties.
  • The processing of new hires, terminations, and personnel alterations, as well as the handling of accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, and timesheet reconciliation are all performed.
  • Analyze and report on the company’s IT operations’ financial elements, such as monthly/quarterly forecasts and capacity management, accruals, costing, and labor efficiency.
  • Track promises, commitments, and expenditures to ensure that the operations being carried out are meeting their periodic objectives. For allocated efforts, assist in the financial execution and the formulation of financial plans for the assigned initiatives.
  • Help plan, analyze, prepare suggestions, develop, report, manage, deliver, and maintain newly identified budget and financial initiatives with set timelines.
  • Help come up with the budget and long-term plans. Communicate with all levels of management to make sure all budgets are done, Do an analysis of the difference between actual results and plans.
  • Conducts a thorough analysis of the project’s commercial and financial problems by relying on their excellent analytical skills and their extensive experience in the real world. integrates a comprehensive life-cycle cost assessment to serve as a reference for the government’s appraisal of prospects and to help identify key business risks.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of departmental guidelines. Regular updates are made to account reconciliations and important dates. Journal entries are processed from invoices.

Skills:

  • The ability to work effectively in a collaborative atmosphere, a positive attitude, and excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities are just some of the qualities needed to succeed in this position.
  • a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a discipline that is roughly similar is necessary; a certified public accountant (CPA) or master’s degree is preferable, but not essential. Extensive knowledge and experience dealing with computer applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, among others.
  • 2 years accounting/finance experience, financial analysis a bonus. Retail experience is a bonus.
  • An understanding of energy use, energy rates, life cycle cost analysis, and the methods used to prepare business cases for big private expenditures is a must.
  • 5 years of professional experience in program/project management for DOD acquisitions; or 5 years of professional experience in program/project management for Navy acquisitions with proven and specialized expertise, preferably in Navy/DOD Financial Management procedures.
