Job Description

This position supports the Director of Tax and Tax Senior Manager with tax accounting tasks. Maintaining tax compliance and tax accounting support schedules are the primary responsibilities of the Tax Associate. The Tax Associate will communicate and collaborate with the Accounting and Finance Department on various projects and tasks.

  • Provide assistance in the preparation of tax returns, extensions of time to file returns, quarterly anticipated tax payments, and other tax compliance activities, including but not limited to monitoring of all compliance and filing status.
  • Analyze and explain complex tax problems to clients, write memorandums, and produce client letters.
  • Review accounts, activities, and make reconciliations of income tax balances (i.e., income tax due and deferred tax assets and liabilities) and Tax Receivable Agreement (“TRA”) general ledger accounts, including international withholding and franchise/gross receipts taxes.
  • Gaining expertise in accounting through learning how to record and construct financial statements from bank accounts and other sources, as well as how to generate personal balance sheets and net worth statements.

  • International assignment cost forecasts; production of expatriate tax returns; preparation of equalization and other miscellaneous tax forms for expatriates.

  • Reading and interpreting documentation such as safety standards, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals are essential skills for every job. Having the ability to compose regular reports and communication is essential. The ability to successfully deliver information and answer to queries from firm personnel as well as members of the public is required. It is necessary to have effective communication abilities. The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, utilizing whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, in all units of measurement. Possessing the ability to calculate percentages, ratios, and rates, as well as create and analyze bar graphs
  • A well-organized and adaptive professional who has showed the ability to handle many projects and procedures efficiently while achieving internal and external deadlines.
  • Telephone, personal computer, printer, copy machine, and fax machine operation are all included. Working understanding of software tools such as Microsoft Word, Google Sheets, and Access. High proficiency with computers is an asset.
  • Reliable transportation is required for all work-related activities, including getting to and from meetings, interacting with clients, and so on.
  • Position needs a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and CPA certification, as well as 3-6 years of tax experience at a big CPA firm and/or a public company’s corporate tax department.
