Job Description
For our Sales and Account Teams, you will be the go-to expert for pitching new business and expanding our current clientele, so we need a Digital Media Planner who can take the reins on strategic planning. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have a track record of success in conducting in-depth research, planning, and constructing comprehensive digital advertising campaigns. Someone who can engage clients with a compelling, strategic story of how we’ll reach those targets is ideal for us. This person must be self-motivated and enjoy figuring out how to reach and convert a brand’s best prospective customers. The successful applicant will have proven experience working under pressure to meet tight deadlines while maintaining a positive outlook and high quality of work. The Digital Media Planner will play a vital role in our Strategy team and work closely with our internal Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Digital Media, Creative, and Analytics, and Sales teams. The Senior Director, Digital Strategy & Planning will serve as this role’s immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:
- To recommend buy placements, conduct research on partners and media outlets. Based on the strategy and goals of the campaign, find new advertising possibilities.
- To make sure that partners are carrying out campaigns as intended, keep an eye on ad verification, brand safety, and viewability.
- Manage and negotiate paid media campaigns with a media vendor and Account-Based Marketing partners.
- Collaborate to put buyer personas into action while implementing omnichannel advertising strategies for paid media campaigns.
- Paid advertising strategies in support of ongoing lifecycle programs and point-in-time demand generation campaigns for commercial and enterprise audiences must be developed in collaboration with other members of the digital marketing team.
- Send out an RFP to potential media partners for client campaigns that are in line with the customer’s goals and key performance indicators.
- Keep an eye on how the campaign is faring as it is being executed by external media partners; consider setting up regular meetings with key partners.
- Generate paid media recommendations across platforms, taking into account the client’s specific objectives.
- Validate the accuracy of monthly vendor billing with data from unbiased advertising tracking services.
- Create and maintain flowcharts, media budgets, media authorizations, and vendorINSERTion orders.
Skills:
- skills in content marketing, native media buying, and ad negotiations. having worked with media sales teams from outside companies before.
- 3+ years in media planning and buying across paid search, social, programmatic, and direct buys.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in digital media marketing, and 2 to 3 years of experience negotiating advertising campaigns and expenditure with third-party vendors.
- Ability to learn new channels in the B2B arena based on the industry or persona you’re targeting, and comfort with doing so.
- Direct media buys with vendor partners may allow for price reductions and the addition of features that add value for clients.
