Our organization is now looking for a Payroll Manager. The Payroll Manager will be in charge of all aspects of payroll and invoicing. Work under the direction of the Controller and contribute as needed to the development of internal control policies, methods, and financial goals. In this fast-paced role, excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are also necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Reviews, wages are computed, and errors are corrected to ensure that earnings are accurate. Make sure that any payroll modifications are dealt with correctly.
  • The Payroll Manager is responsible for a variety of general accounting and payroll activities, such as routine and non-recurring general accounting duties, payroll processing, bonus payouts, and commission or incentive programs.
  • With the Payroll Supervisor, the Payroll Administrator ensures payroll accuracy and timely processing, as well as examines payroll data.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with the HR department on new hiring procedures, terminations, and leave of absences.
  • To guarantee that the company complies with any additional legal and regulatory requirements, organize data and reports for audits, internal and external auditors. This involves abiding by all regional, national, and municipal rules pertaining to tax reporting and filing.
  • Ensures that all payroll changes, such as new hires, terminations, and pay rate adjustments, are processed on schedule and correctly.
  • Verifying that the accounting treatment is accurate and advising the transaction initiator to make modifications.
  • Payroll operations and regulatory compliance are ensured through the development of internal control systems. Management and branch offices are informed of the company’s procedures.
  • Bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly information is sent to the controller and HR. Escalated field enquiries are handled, and problems are quickly fixed.
  • A payroll manager’s job is to make sure that all of the company’s financial obligations, such as payroll taxes and benefits, are met on schedule and accurately.

Skills:

  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, such as finance or business administration; the ideal applicant will have five to ten years of experience in payroll or billing.
  • Comprehends accounting basics like debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and budgets. Strong preference for a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/human resources
  • Experience in fostering a friendly, cooperative work environment and applying a warm customer service philosophy to all internal employee concerns.
  • Capable of working successfully with top executives and the management team, as well as mentoring and leading a department.
  • Advanced understanding of best practices in bookkeeping and accounting, as well as legislation, standards, and state/national requirements Analytical skills are required to create and implement process changes.
