Job Description
Implementing controls, including trade confirmations and reconciliations, for a number of asset classes is the responsibility of the operations analyst. Settlement of trades, controlling cash and positions, and enhancing operational performance are all other top considerations.

Qualifications:
- Generate system documentation including user guides, manuals, and other how-to materials.
- Instruct, monitor, and verify trade settlement and position and cash transfers.
- To avoid failures and extra money, investigate and resolve trade and account inconsistencies as soon as possible.
- In your role as the team’s business analyst, evaluate and manage change requests.
- Think about the day-to-day collateral requirements. Credit risk can be reduced for clients by keeping an eye on their exposure to counterparties and by moving collateral between accounts.
- Broken operational controls, delayed resolution of serious concerns, and reconciliation discrepancies that have accumulated over time.
- Help automate operational procedures by providing input on potential solutions, communicating with programmers, and putting those improvements through their paces in testing.
- Trades and other transactions must be reconciled with multiple resources, such as brokers and custodians.
- Work together with clients and cross-functional teams on ongoing operations and transformation projects.
- Increase the speed of the adoption of operational solutions and improvements by leveraging your business relationships with counterparties.
Skills:
- Knowledge of and experience with basic computer software and applications, preferably Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A foundational knowledge of the SDLC/SELC (Systems Development Life Cycle/Systems Engineering Life Cycle).
- Across several business departments, track, produce, and disseminate metrics.
- Produce well-organized reports and speeches detailing your research and outlining how it will help the company’s daily operations.
- As well as conducting an audit of various business departments and job activities, you should also offer business advice and criticism.
