Job Description

As a consequence of our continued expansion, we are looking for an Electronics Engineer to join our Systems and Electronics design team to assist in the fast development of cutting-edge power conversion and electronics accessory product ideas, prototypes, and products. To conceive, prototype, and deliver novel ideas and designs relating to battery charging and grid linked inverters, this role demands creativity and ingenuity. It is preferred that you have prior experience in hardware design, component selection, simulation, prototype assembly, testing, and control.

  • Consult on power converter architecture, active semiconductor switching devices, and passive components for power circuits (capacitors, inductors, transformers, etc). f power converters or inverters. Design hardware with the correct semiconductors to solve problems (IGBTs, GTOs, GCTs, Thyristors, etc.).
  • Do verification testing on new designs and products, do cost and reliability analysis on products, and give assembly and testing instructions for prototypes and production runs.
  • You will be assisting in the creation of new proposals, from technical ideas to budgets and timelines.
  • Production support, technical and status briefs, trade studies, creating technical analysis and reports and failure analysis, as well as the occasional electrical and electronic design, are some of the daily duties that you are expected to do.
  • Take part in every step of the design process, from early planning to testing, for Distribution Power Electronics products. This team will help with the making, installing, and testing of Distribution FACTS devices in the field.
  • Oversee crucial components including photovoltaic arrays, power regulation/distribution, and high-density batteries. Integrate the systems in close collaboration with the technical team.
  • Using software such as PSLF, PSS/E, PSCAD, EMTP, and others, conduct power flow, transient stability, reactive planning, infrastructure re-enforcement, generator connections, and associated studies.
  • To work with medium to high power switching components (>500kW and higher) and the accompanying protection and gating circuits on the design, development, and testing of sophisticated power electronics such as converters or inverters. Provide solutions for various applications by designing hardware with the right semiconductors (IGBTs, GTOs, GCTs, Thyristors, etc.).
  • Power electronics systems need direction and control over their design and architecture for an application to work.
  • Compile and analyze operational test data, as well as research data, to see whether new or upgraded equipment/products meet functional requirements.


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to work well with others are required. Superior organizing, planning, and follow-through abilities.
  • Advanced understanding of circuit and system analysis via the use of computer simulation tools (MatLAB, MathCAD, Simulink, PSpice, and others), Advanced computer knowledge, with a focus on Microsoft Office products.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field with a minimum of nine years of experience, or Master’s degree in comparable disciplines with a minimum of seven years of experience, or Ph.D. in similar disciplines with a minimum of five years of experience.
  • Experience in the design, development, fabrication, assembly, and testing of power electronics or analogue hardware, with specific emphasis on power systems and analogue electronics in space conditions.
  • Power electronics design is something you are very good at. Control and modulation techniques for power electronics, modelling and simulation of power electronics circuits, design and selection of magnetic components, selection, testing, and design of switching devices, schematic drawing and PCB layout, basic thermal management and selection of heat sinks, hands-on design and testing experience with kW level power electronics design and products, etc.
