Job Description

This Human Resources (HR) Specialist role is a technical specialist who provides a unique service to the Company through exceptional knowledge, skill, and experience. HR Specialists provide paraprofessional support in HR functional areas such as recruitment, onboarding, personnel records, employee relations, regulatory reporting requirements, benefits administration, and other areas as needed under little supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Performance evaluations, compensation transactions, and disciplinary actions in the HR information system are all completed on schedule and according to authorized authorization.
  • As required by federal, state, and municipal regulations, the timekeeping system handles employee absences and requests for time off.
  • Supports local recruiting and outreach efforts in coordination with the administrative team to meet or exceed monthly and annual recruitment targets. Ensures a positive candidate experience by coordinating interviews, assisting candidates with paperwork, providing feedback on interviewing performance. Promptly responds to inquiries from hiring managers regarding potential candidates’ qualifications; requests additional information as needed.
  • Orients new workers to the HR Information System and performs data input into the HR Information System. It is the responsibility of this position to ensure that data is entered accurately and thoroughly, and that workers are aware of all company regulations and procedures, including those included in the employee handbook.
  • In compliance with Company policies, undertake a variety of activities related to recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and separations.
  • This position will be responsible for employee-related problems and concerns, as well as maintaining close communication with facility management and corporate human resources. The primary objective is to guarantee that the company’s personnel have positive relationships with one another.
  • The HR Information System administrator responds to queries from employees and updates, changes, additions, and removals as necessary. Notifies the HR Manager of any unexpected or unsolved concerns.
  • Mandate and monitor personnel transactions such as recruitment, promotions, transfers and other personnel and payroll concerns.
  • Prepares regular and special reports by analyzing trends and identifying problem areas with a small margin of error and a high level of importance.
  • Employees are given instructions on how to follow the company’s human resources policies (e.g. Time Off with Pay, Tuition Reimbursement, etc.).

Skills:

  • It’s necessary to have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, labor relations, employment law, or a related discipline.
  • An understanding and familiarity with fundamental employment norms and policies is essential for HR professionals to be successful in their roles
  • Communication skills are important.
  • An eager problem-solver who pays attention to client cues and works to handle issues with grace and honesty.
  • The applicant must possess a strong sense of leadership as well as a strong desire to learn and enhance his skills.
