Qualifications:
- Upon the patient’s arrival, quickly check them in and seek any changes to their medical history, insurance information, and/or personal information. Ensure that the appropriate software upgrades are implemented.
- Monitoring weekly, monthly, and quarterly customer and insurance company payment information. Uploading completed paperwork for insurance verification.
- Pull up and listen to all voicemails left for the clinic as often as possible. Respond or give the follow-up to someone else to make sure it gets done. Answer all phone calls within three (3) rings and use phone dialogue protocol language on every call.
- (Your office) Dental should be prepared to hand out presents and give new customers a clinic tour to show them why they should choose your practice. Focus on details that are relevant to their unique care and treatment during a tour of the facility.
- Verifying the patient’s insurance, patient insurance benefits, Insurance claim follow-up
- Collect the necessary papers for the new patient and conduct a search for the patient and/or patient’s family to make sure that there are no duplicate patients in the system. When entering all of the information into the system, be sure to check for correctness and spelling errors. When the new patient is ready, the back office should be notified.
- Waiting areas and front desks should be kept in pristine condition. Maintain cleanliness and order in the areas where you spend the most time each day. Every week, conduct a thorough sweep of the entryway as well as a thorough vacuuming of the corners and edges of each room as well as washing the floor.
- Patients should be informed of treatment plans and cost estimates. Assist patients with dental insurance plans and payment choices for non-covered services.
- You’re fostering teamwork by assisting all members of the medical team in creating an environment where patients have a positive and lasting experience.
- When it comes to claims, treatment plans, and pre-authorization, insurance companies and Medicaid should be talked to. Correctly figure out your dental benefits and copays Inform the dentist and staff about the yearly changes to the CDT codes.
Skills:
- Must have at least two years of experience in the dentistry field along with a thorough understanding of dental terminologies and insurance benefits to be eligible. Having some familiarity with the dental software SoftDent is a plus, but it isn’t required.
- Establishing and maintaining long-term patient and coworker connections Accomplished track record and maturity as well as eagerness to collaborate with others are all necessary qualities for an ideal candidate.
- It’s a benefit if you’re familiar with Open Dental Software. High school diploma or GED (recommended), two years of dental insurance (required), but not needed (Required)
- Excellent customer service, abilities in professional communication, ability to handle problems, ability to multitask, and commitment to seeing tasks through to completion
