A full-time Land Surveyor is needed at one of our offices. Individuals in this group will be responsible for land surveying throughout the state of New York. If you’re interested in this position, you’ll need to be comfortable working both in an office and out in the field. I’m also available to help with design and construction if needed.

Qualifications:

  • Both “metes and bounds” and “Public Land Survey States” were surveyed, as well as providing technical advice and support for other Service offices dealing with land issues, such as property ownership or boundary marking or monumentation.
  • To oversee the development and implementation of geodetic and land surveying operations such Cadastral, Rights-of-Way, GPS Surveying and Robotic Total Station Surveying in accordance with the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying definition of real property maps or mapping.
  • Surveyors are responsible for directing or conducting surveys to establish or reestablish land and property boundaries, property surveys, topographic surveys, boundary disputes, residential lease sites, crime sites, business lease sites, and rights-of-way, as well as overseeing and preparing sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in Auto Cad to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.
  • In addition to developing surveying standards, engineers who specialize in surveying also provide preliminary studies, cost estimates, and specification reviews for a wide range of projects in the engineering and construction industries. Data quality assurance is also their responsibility.
  • This person will work closely with other members of the project team and clients if they are granted permission. To guarantee that the customer is satisfied, this person is in charge of overseeing survey projects, driving corporate vehicles on the job site, and operating company equipment. Each day, this person guarantees the correct storage of all business equipment at the end of the workday.
  • A project manager is responsible for the coordination and preparation of contracts, work authorizations and guidance to surveying consultants as needed in order to achieve project goals; oversees their operations; and monitors the performance and work products of contracted survey work in support of project development.
  • Following the work done by draught surveyors and checking their drafting plans will help you estimate the entire cost of contract land survey services. All team members should be knowledgeable with the latest surveying and mapping technology. Control over surveying is rebuilt or constructed with help from state and federal officials, as well as contractors.
  • These parcels can be located and described using surveying and land surveying-related information technology/systems and applications (writing property descriptions, mapping, laws, research, measurement, analysis, and calculation) (such as GPS and GIS).
  • This expert’s task is to investigate and settle unusual property disputes, such as encroachment, legal limits, and the tracing of descriptions. AutoCAD may be used to create official maps and legal descriptions. To guarantee that surveys and the data collected are accurate, further quality control and monitoring of other people’s work is offered.
  • Involved in project planning, which includes establishment of the project scope, task organization, effort and other required resources, and timetable necessary to finish the project, with little direction or evaluation from the Survey Manager. Prepares a project cost and budget estimate. If a customer requests surveying charges as part of an entire project, it is possible to work with project managers to make those arrangements.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities are required for interactions with customers, business partners, employees, and management at all levels of authority both inside and outside the firm. To detect the financial effects of initiatives and propose or implement the required modifications, one must also have a broad grasp of business.
  • Ability to conduct a topographic survey of a site or energy corridor, knowledge of the drawing process, eagerness to learn about right of way plating, and a track record of accuracy and thoroughness are all positive traits in a right of way plating candidate.
  • In order to be considered for this employment, you must have a valid driver’s license at all times, fulfil any minimum education and/or experience criteria, and provide transcript(s) to verify education requirements. Failing to maintain a valid driver’s license will result in dismissal from the employment, and employees in this class may be compelled to utilize their own vehicles.
  • Probationary employees are required to submit a financial disclosure report and maintain proper certification as a contracting officer’s representative (COR) (or equivalent).
  • Estimating budget costs for survey work (material and labor) in support of contract and work authorization review, analyzing and interpreting policies, reviewing and interpreting applicable plans, schematics, blueprints, and maps, as well as being able to use a chainsaw, power tools, ATV/UTV, advance survey equipment, and drafting software, as well as being able to extract crucial information from official government plats and surveys; and finally, being able to read a legal description, right.
