Qualifications:
- Produce news packages for the station by brainstorming ideas, writing articles, and shooting them alongside reporters, editors, and photographers. Create additional video and graphic presentations as required.
- Chooses themes and undertakes research on them. Contacts and interviews sources. Keeps notes and audio recordings. Writes and edits tales.
- Develop story ideas, do research and interviews, gather field material, write and voice the narrative, and present it live as scheduled.
- For the aim of connecting with potential story leads, cultivate relationships with members of the community and community leaders. Develop and build relationships in the community for news articles.
- Maintains close working relationships with the show’s producers and writers in order to create program material that is tailored to the editorial tenets of the station, the singular character of the program being aired, and the interests of the audience.
- Perform on-air duties for the assigned newscast. Fill-in anchor duties for all news shows when requested or necessary.
- Produce videos via filming, scripting, editing, and packaging. Live, studio, and long-form interviews will be done. Programming the station’s digital channels.
- The contributors may come up with big series pieces and lead items for daily news programs. Based on thorough investigation, write news stories. When creating material for broadcast, go with video and take control of the editing and graphic design processes.
- Act as a local audio reporter who is responsible for making both short and long-form audio articles for digital and audio platforms.
- Discuss story development, field progress, and breaking news with producers, editors, and management.
Skills:
- The ability to report, convey a narrative, work in the media, and communicate effectively Accuracy in researching and identifying the best news angle for a story.

- Have a bachelor’s degree in journalism or mass communication, or at least two years of experience as a reporter, anchor, or host in the media.
