Job Description
This person is in charge of city planning, which means he or she has to look at, organize, and conduct complex planning studies that make sure that City Codes and ordinances are obeyed. They also have to make sure that planning site plan conditions and restrictions are met, and that Zoning Ordinance permits are given out. Employees in this group do administrative work at a higher level than normal. They are supervisors and professionals. In this job, you’ll be in charge of directing, implementing, and enforcing the City and County’s Zoning Code and rules. Performs other duties as needed.

Qualifications:
- Assists in the formulation of planning improvement and the modification of suggested goals in accordance with collected statistical data and statistical research and comparative assessments.
- Public hearings, meetings, and board presentations all have documents made by this person, and they do them. City councils, planning commissions, architectural design review boards, and the general public are given information about new projects.
- Create a daily delivery plan that includes the use of equipment, manpower, and other resources to make sure the business runs smoothly and meets customer needs.
- The development application process includes acquiring, examining for completeness, and processing development applications that include site plans, subdivision requests, conditional use permits, and other land development proposals; ensuring that applications comply with the Urban Development Code and the Comprehensive Plan; and ensuring that applications comply with the Comprehensive Plan.
- Effectively, clearly, and correctly, communicate complicated information to internal agencies and programmers, both orally and in writing.
- Office supplies, software, and processes that are commonplace in today’s business workplaces.
- The planning director of the city is in charge of zoning and urban planning. The city’s zoning plan review process and urban planning programme, as well as any procedural adjustments, are recommended and implemented by the planning director (i.e amendments to the plans, site plans, drawings, and reports, etc).
- In charge of the design and implementation of community and stakeholder engagement projects.
- Producing data-driven visualizations, as well as narrative reports, based on data gathered from various sources is the primary responsibility of this position.
- Organize, write, present, and process plan chapters and amendments; write status reports; coordinate, present, write, and process plan amendments; write status reports; and other related activities.
Skills:
- The physical, social, and economic characteristics of a community, as well as how they interact, are critical to understanding a community. Knowledge of current and future design trends is also required. Understanding the legal basis and methodologies used to draught land use rules, real estate and development legislation are also part of this process.
- Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and at least six (6) years of professional experience in municipal planning and zoning, with at least two (2) years of supervisory experience.

- The ability to apply concepts and methods of urban planning and redevelopment at the highest level of professionalism, as well as hands-on experience in doing so
