The part-time Social Media Assistant will create and execute Alumni’s social media strategy to build brand recognition, protect its online reputation, drive inbound traffic, and boost interaction. He/she/they will study and promote alumni-focused material on Advancement pages and execute and reinforce social ad campaigns. The Marketing and Communications Social Media Manager will oversee him/her/them.

Qualifications:

  • Calculate engagement metrics and compile weekly and monthly reports on social advertising campaigns for several clients.
  • Identify important messaging or value propositions, provide strategic suggestions or provide guidance on assigned activities, and then convey your findings to the rest of the team.
  • This role needs promptness, curiosity, inventiveness, and the ability to work well with others in a group setting. Someone with great organizational abilities and outstanding communication skills is needed to fill this post.
  • Create and administer several platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Houzz) of social media profiles as well as write and post content for these networks.
  • Utilizes timetables and scheduled content to provide a steady stream of new content for audience engagement while assessing, updating, and altering plans to optimize visits.
  • Incorporate social media with the team’s own efforts, such as those for sponsorships, sales of tickets, and marketing and advertising. Work on community connections and non-baseball sponsorship in addition to baseball-related activities.
  • Put your understanding of audience demographics to work for you by coming up with innovative strategies for promoting your company on the most widely used social media platforms.
  • Execute content, including authoring, design, posting, and follow-up contact; work directly with client teams to help in the creation and conception of social media content.
  • Involvement in the construction and management of content calendars, which include significant themes, daily content, industry events, and other hot subjects, is required.
  • Educate each division’s social media practitioners on the latest social media platforms. For specialized missions and other outreach efforts, it is necessary to generate content for the transmission of regional and policy objectives.

Skills:

  • Expertise in Social networking platforms/reporting tools, graphic design software, and SEO fundamentals. Including understanding of the Facebook APIs and apps. Experience with video marketing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the social media ecosystem, including how sponsored, earned and owned social media all interact to inform, involve, and amplify one another.
  • Ability to measure social media outcomes. Monthly dashboard reports with observations and suggestions. Strong writing and proofreading abilities; perfect spelling, grammar, punctuation.
  • Successful social media management and marketing on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram. Experience with a retail or lifestyle brand is an asset.
  • The skill of developing original concepts for use on social media and of putting into action exciting new approaches to marketing that may attract the attention of a large number of people in order to achieve the goals set by the firm.
