Qualifications:
- Additionally, it provides components back to the branch or client after picking up buy out purchase orders from vendors on vendor “fill in” purchase orders.
- Delivers excellent customer service throughout daily contacts with customers by providing information about services and resolving any questions that may come up.
- Notate on the packing slip any broken or missing products, as well as any other difficulties that may have occurred; then take the necessary steps to resolve the issue with the carrier or the vendor.
- Ensures the safety of the building by keeping all exits closed or staffed during business hours and by locking or checking all closed doors at the end of the day’s work.
- Compare the product’s description and quantity to the purchase order and packing slip. Create a missing packing slip when it is not included with the shipment.
- Drives to delivery location, confirms order with client, unloads and checks merchandise, and gets signature and payment.
- Physically loads the company vehicle at the branch and confirms its condition, the manifest, and other documents.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s safety requirements, as well as those of the Department of Transportation, the Alcoholic Beverage Control, and the rules and procedures governing the transportation of goods from the warehouse.
- If you need to deliver packages to a number of different buildings or customers, you may use delivery routes that have already been defined or prioritize your packages.
- Ensuring compliance with all safe work practices, regulations, and procedures is as simple as following them religiously at all times.
Skills:
- Candidates with a high school diploma or GED are preferred. There must be at least six months of driving and warehouse operations experience, as well as some college-level education.
- Have a driver’s license that is currently active and a clean driving record. The applicant must be at least 21 years old and have a driving record that satisfies and continues to fulfill the requirements of the corporate safety program.
- All of these tasks must be performed while sitting or standing; walking; lifting; pushing; pulling; and bending. Driving necessitates sitting for extended periods of time.
- Possess the ability to execute basic mathematical calculations, read road maps, interact well with clients, colleagues, and supervisors, and utilize a smartphone and/or tablet with ease.
- Loading/unloading trucks and stocking merchandise demand regular bending, climbing, maneuvering, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
