Job Description
We have an opening on our team for a Research Assistant. The Research Assistant’s work would help produce data that policymakers at the federal, state, and local levels can use in their deliberations and preparations. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for lending technical help to the review of statistical documentation and reports of assessment data.

Qualifications:
- carries out research-related tasks while receiving broad guidance.

- Maintains accurate and timely records, including notebooks, records, databases, and other documents as required by the research project.
- Collaborates with the research group as needed to ensure efficient, timely, and high-quality output. Fixes problems or addresses concerns pertaining to common or unusual activities.
- Maintains a sufficient stock of laboratory and/or other supplies to facilitate research endeavors. ensures the supplies or reagents are of a high standard.
- Uncertainty analysis with relation to initial conditions, observational data, parameter estimations, and input data.
- Data gathering and processing automation for real-time and near-real-time use.
- Interactive geospatial applications for geographic decision support systems are deployed to test and production environments via serverless APIs.
- follows all rules, laws, and policies set forth by the government and academic institutions.
Skills:
- Competence in gathering and analyzing large amounts of data, as well as creating and maintaining relevant spreadsheets, graphs, and presentations.
- Makes decisions concerning the assigned responsibility area without external guidance. It may be necessary to take the lead on certain project duties.
- The ability to effectively communicate findings in writing and in person to audiences both inside and outside of one’s scientific field.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing professional environment, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of related work experience (data visualization), or an equivalent mix of education, training, and relevant work experience.
