Qualifications:
- Maintains a secure and clean reception area and other office areas (copy room, kitchen, conference).
- Timely pick up, screen, and transfer all incoming calls to the appropriate department or individual.
- makes carbon copies or duplicates of documents as required; can produce and send facsimiles for the clinic’s staff.
- Helps ensure business as usual by recording and sharing information about routines, deviations, and ongoing requirements.
- incoming mail is processed, and clinic staff is given correspondence and other materials.
- Provides general information, welcomes and directs guests and patients, routes calls, takes messages, and responds to routine questions.
- To fulfill the duties of the position, the employee performs a variety of routine clerical duties. Personal computers may be used for simple communication, data entry, and the printing of letters, labels, reports, and other documents by the incumbent.
- Creates, stores, processes, and revises documents such as records and files.
- May perform specialized services of a routine clerical nature in strict accordance with established procedural guidelines, as appropriate to the position.
- Provide coffee, water, tea, and directions to the restrooms as a gesture of friendliness to all visitors.
Skills:
- 6 months experience working in a medical or dental clinic preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of three years of administrative, clerical or relevant work experience required.
- be able to express oneself articulately in both oral and written forms (or electronically).
- Capable of drafting and printing standard documents such as letters, labels, etc.
- Ability to use healthcare and pharmaceutical computer programs is essential.
