Qualifications:
- Join the HP design community and work with other creatives to develop ground-breaking ideas that take advantage of modern materials and design trends in shapes and hues.
- Work closely with your suppliers to develop branded packaging and production methods that will save money without sacrificing quality.
- Assess whether design proposals will meet needs by working with other experts, such as mechanical engineers and manufacturers.
- Present designs and display prototypes to win the approval of key stakeholders.
- Collaborates with in-house and third-party manufacturing and engineering teams to develop and verify product design specifications and production needs.
- Encourage creative thinking and assist in prioritizing competition categories.
- Promote and maintain an effective safety climate via active leadership in all safety-related endeavors.
- Consider design aesthetics and product design language that support the brand while offering a favorable user experience on a consistent basis.
- Create and refine product designs while showcasing your work to different decision-makers.
- Product safety, aesthetics, and functionality can all help you decide if a design is feasible.
Skills:
- Analytical abilities: Study consumers and identify the demand for new items using logic or reasoning.
- Proven work experience as a successful designer with a strong portfolio of product design and execution of design to reality examples.
- Proficient at using computer-aided design (CAD) software for conceptualization and prototyping.
- Expertise in identifying complex design challenges, such as those related to a product’s demand, size, form, function, and cost, as well as in anticipating manufacturing obstacles, generating alternatives, evaluating possibilities, and implementing solutions.
- Innovation in designs and approaches to incorporating pre-existing technologies into their new product are examples of creativity.
