Job Description

It is the responsibility of the Procurement Manager to plan and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to get the most cost-effective deals to minimize procurement costs while ensuring regulatory compliance and compatibility with the Company’s brand value offering. As the department’s head, you’ll be responsible for setting goals, assigning resources, overseeing spending, and keeping tabs on all of the department’s goings on.

  • Establish processes for risk management in order to reduce financial losses in the event that products become unavailable. Keep an eye on how the prices of items and vendors fluctuate, and make sure the appropriate departments are kept informed.
  • Manage insurance policies and collaborate with the insurance broker, administer all insurance bids, evaluate with the executive team, and maintain insurance certificates, liens, records, and renewals. Create reports as required.
  • In order to better understand the needs of the manufacturing industry, it is necessary to examine the ERP systems in place and the materials required to meet those needs.
  • Ensure that internal customer needs are understood and satisfied via clear and concise communication, effective project management, and timely project execution.
  • Working with the company’s financial, legal and compliance divisions, ensure that contracts and conditions are favorable Oversee and allocate responsibilities across departments as needed for the support of buying resources..
  • Communication at all levels of the organization on operations, scheduling, or specifics of projects or contracts with internal and external representatives.
  • Maintain and update procurement records in accordance with state requirements, evaluate contracts, and maintain an efficient central file system for contracts and renewals to ensure contract compliance.
  • Develop, execute, and improve vendor management procedures, tools, and policies in conjunction with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired performance results via strong, cooperative partnerships.
  • Procurement management is a job that you must handle alone. Bids, procurement, recordkeeping, and renewals may all be managed using the present system.


  • Ability to examine and grasp company processes, elicit and identify demands, develop potential solutions, etc.
  • A minimum of two years in supply chain management or five years in purchasing or procurement is required. or procurement. Ability to establish trusting working relationships with suppliers and vendors via effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, ideally in business, business administration, or finance; or similar combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of software licensing methods and SaaS apps, Experience working with and managing a distributed team, desired JD or legal background; recommended ISM/APICS certification
  • a working knowledge of contract law; negotiating concepts; procurement methods; market research and analysis methodologies; and the creation and management of contracts Public sector buying processes and practices are preferred.
