Job Description
A motivated mental health worker is needed by the mental health center. In order to directly care for and assist shelter visitors and to provide a kind, secure, and therapeutic atmosphere within the shelter, the chosen applicant will work with a varied and dynamic team. The ideal applicant has knowledge of working with people who have major, enduring mental illnesses, drug use problems, or who have been homeless. The chosen applicant must be adaptable, ready to learn and grow, and capable of working together with shelter visitors and managing other staff in a demanding workplace.

Qualifications:
- Helps patients with their everyday activities, such as washing, dressing, eating, and finding therapeutic uses for them. As instructed by the Resorts staff, takes and records the patient’s temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and breathing while accompanying and aiding as required.

Skills:

- Certification in the Medication Administration Program is required for employees who work in units that utilize the programmed within six months of starting their job or three opportunities for evaluation, whichever comes first. It’s imperative that you keep your certification up to date while participating in the MAP programmed.
- In order to be considered for employment, candidates must either (A) have an appropriate replacement for that experience or (B) have at least one year of direct care service experience dealing with individuals who are mentally ill, emotionally challenged, or physically challenged.
