Qualifications:
- Builds good relationships with other shop employees and school organizations for promotional opportunities, special events, and support with off-site sales.
- Manages the functions related to special orders and alerts customers.
- Manages the in-store merchandise display from stockroom to sales floor, serving as liaison between the Store and the Planner.
- Partners to establish and uphold a culture of hassle-free customer service that is centered on solutions-based selling and providing top-notch customer service.
- Functions as the department’s top manager, responsible for everything from assigning tasks and assessing employee performance to conducting interviews, selecting candidates, and arranging for their employment and training.
- Store managers should perform regular walk-throughs to check on product displays, inventory levels, and service levels with each new day.
- Occasionally manages the store or supervises other departments in the absence of the store manager.
- Creates and keeps up displays in accordance with the requirements of the company.
- Executes markups and markdowns started by the Home Office, examines financial reports, completes purchase orders, and approves invoices.
- Responds to questions and concerns from clients, including alumni, employees, instructors, and students, and handles tense situations as necessary.
Skills:
- Capable of operating MS Office programs effectively (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Leadership and managerial abilities were demonstrated.
- Proficient in incorporating corporate health and safety regulations
- Work flexible hours and shifts as needed to meet the demands of the business.
- Two years or more in a managerial position, with experience supervising at least 25 hourly workers.
