Qualifications:
- Create and carry out office budgets, and oversee the purchase of standard office supplies and equipment
- Keep up-to-date understanding of software platforms for data collection, storage, and retrieval for managerial reporting.
- Assist Clinical and Practice Management Leadership in communicating with the hospital to solve problems and establish priorities.
- making sure staff have time off, arranging for training, etc.
- Oversee the hiring, scheduling, and performance of clinical, administrative, and billing staff members.
- Keep an environment conducive to excellent care for patients and positive interactions with customers.
- Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, as well as office and business policies and procedures, to maintain a safe working environment and to ensure compliance with all applicable state dental legislation.
- Examine and organize workplace operations like payroll processing, cash handling, and invoice handling.
- The Practice Manager, in collaboration with the Chief of Staff, manages the hospital’s day-to-day operations.
- Collaborate with HR in evaluating, probing, and resolving issues related to staffing (such as hiring, firing, retention, and termination).
Skills:
- Experience in a related field (medicine, veterinary medicine, customer service, etc.) for at least three years is required, as is direct experience in supervision (includes hiring, associate development, etc.).
- You’ll need excellent communication skills to manage the department’s work with patients, doctors, and colleagues across disciplines.
- Capable of effectively communicating and analyzing data, as well as having the intestinal fortitude to face and resolve staffing issues head-on.
- The equivalent office management experience (2+ years) will be taken into consideration.
- A foundational understanding of employee privacy, documentation, and HR/employment law is required.
