Qualifications:
- As needed, perform clerical duties such as filing, faxing, photocopying, collating, and project assembly.
- Collection of copayments, deductibles, and account balances, as well as completion of necessary paperwork and posting of charges.
- Filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration are just a few of the administrative or clerical tasks that may be performed as needed.
- Maintenance includes tasks including restocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting machinery and medical supplies.
- As needed or as directed by the provider, schedules referral appointments.
- Check people in and out, set up follow-up appointments, and collect payment.
- Investigates coding/billing messages submitted to clinic by medical dimensions and promptly replies to all communications.
- Calls are sorted by urgency and redirected when necessary.
- helps to finish “”end of day balancing/closing”” and get deposits ready for courier pickup.
- Quickly type up documents including memos, letters, position summaries, flowcharts, graphs, deviation reports, and policies and procedures for executives, managers, and advisory boards.
Skills:
- It is preferred that applicants have completed one year of medical assistant training after graduating from high school.
- Minimum three years’ experience as a Medical Office Assistant preferred.
- For this position, using a computer, printer, and fax machine is necessary.
- It’s necessary to work in a stressful environment and respond appropriately.
