The Practice Managers in our organization also instruct the staff how to best inform patients about the wellness programs and inpatient care options we provide.

  • Manage the procurement of everyday office necessities and ensure that budgets are adhered to.
  • Maintain a working environment that encourages top-notch service for all of your clients and patients.
  • Supervise employees and ensure that they are meeting daily objectives in their clinical, administrative, and billing roles.
  • Facilitate communication between the hospital and the Clinical and Practice Management Leadership teams to aid in issue solving and the establishment of shared goals.
  • Examine and organize office procedures like payroll processing, cash handling, and invoice handling.
  • Work with HR to identify, probe, and address personnel issues in the recruitment, retention, and termination of staff.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in software systems for data compilation, storage, and retrieval in order to produce reports for upper management.
  • Administration of employee schedules, vacation requests, and training requests.
  • The Practice Manager plays a critical role in the daily operations of the hospital and reports directly to the chief of staff.
  • Make sure all pertinent state dental laws are followed, that the workplace is safe by abiding by all applicable local, state, and federal health and safety rules, and that office and company policies are followed.


  • Required are three years of relevant experience, including direct managerial experience, in the healthcare, veterinary profession, service business, etc (includes hiring, associate development, etc.).
  • Essential HR knowledge includes laws governing the hiring and firing of employees, how to properly maintain records, and the importance of keeping information private.
  • Capable of effectively communicating and analyzing data, as well as having the intestinal fortitude to face and resolve staffing issues head-on.
  • It is necessary to be able to manage all departmental tasks and interact (both verbally and in writing) with patients, physicians, and other departments.
  • The equivalent of two or more years of office management experience will be considered.
