- Maintains pertinent files and documentation; prepares standard reports for approval by management.
- Handle material stock checks over the phone, recording and sending any necessary data.
- Inspects and measures tools and equipment for flaws and wear, and reports any damage or wear to the supervisor.
- By reviewing inventories, monitoring order points, creating and expediting orders, and receiving, organizing, and storing items, this function receives, unpacks, and stores tools, equipment, and components.
- To resolve any issues about material stock inventory levels, communicate with shipping or inventory coordinators, department supervisors, and internal and external customers.
- Working in a fast-paced, professional, customer-service-oriented team atmosphere is required.
- Manipulates par levels, reorders points/min/max, and reduces holding costs to identify cost-cutting opportunities.
- An identification tag, stamp, or electric branding tool can be used to name and identify tools and equipment.
- Compiles data on material, equipment, commodities, or supplies received or delivered in order to calculate inventory balance, price, and cost.
- Assists in the design and implementation of physical inventories.
- It is strongly required that you have two years of related work experience in a Material Management role (such as inventory, distribution, etc.).
- Ability to communicate effectively, interpersonal skills, organizational ability, grasp of proper body mechanics, safety precautions, and infection control, ability to follow directions, and knowledge of section specific test information and tools may be required.
- Reading, writing, and understanding English-language documents such as safety regulations, procedure manuals, and operating and maintenance instructions.
- It is necessary to be able to operate machinery such as pallet jacks.
- Being able to go online and perform basic Internet searches, check email, generate and send attachments, and utilize basic email functionalities are examples of basic computer literacy.
