Job Description

We are looking for a physical therapist that is dedicated to their work, compassionate, sensitive, and sensitive to the needs of both patients and coworkers. Qualifications:

  • In order to assist the client in moving toward mutually agreed-upon goals and a discharge plan, counsel and communicate with the client’s family and/or other caregivers as necessary.
  • Prevent the onset, symptoms, and progression of functional limitations, impairments, and disabilities brought on by illnesses, disorders, injuries, or other conditions.
  • Make a strategy, make sure the patient sticks to it, and change things up as needed depending on how they’re doing.
  • Collects data on a patient’s physical and mental health to inform treatment planning and progress monitoring.
  • Adept in navigating the complexities of reimbursement from many sources and allocating therapeutic resources effectively for optimal resident outcomes leading up to discharge.
  • Provides guidance and support to the patient as they do a range of physical activities, including exercises that don’t require using their hands, functional activities that require walking, activities of daily living, and the use of assistive and supportive equipment like crutches and walkers.
  • Comply with state laws and the professional practice standards of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) when conducting initial and ongoing physical therapy exams.
  • Assist patients in reducing their reliance on medication and avoiding surgery by educating and guiding them.
  • Physical therapists often meet with patients’ physicians and other medical professionals to learn more about their patients, modify their treatment plans, and better incorporate physical therapy into their overall health care.
  • Restore, maintain, and enhance not only optimal physical function but also health, mobility, and quality of life.

Skills:

  • The ideal candidate will be a natural leader with a strong desire to grow professionally.
  • To practice physical therapy, you must graduate from a school recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
  • Possessing relevant work experience in a medical/surgical, Orthopedic, or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
  • It is required that you have worked in a hospital, nursing home, or inpatient/outpatient setting for at least a year.
  • Competencies in empathy, compassion, and encouraging patients to push themselves safely and constructively go a long way.
