Qualifications:
- Verify that translations are thorough and correct, and that the original text, meaning, or sentiment and purpose have not been added or omitted.
- Regular duties at the office include answering phones and welcoming visitors, answering basic inquiries about the company’s goods and services, opening and sorting mail, generating purchase order requests, validating invoices and other payments, and other duties as assigned.
- It might be possible to write about geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural aspects of a place. If you are translating, you are likely to use words and expressions that are in line with the norms and ways of expressing things in the target language (TL) (s).
- As a way of ensuring that medical and technical terminology is accurately translated, the translator examines and evaluates it in both its original tongue and its intended target tongue.
- Master the utilization of reference resources. To be able to generate written translations and products, you must have computer abilities, including MS Office, as well as basic online research skills.
- School gatherings, such as parent-teacher conferences, may include conversations concerning kids’ academic achievement, disciplinary difficulties, and other sensitive matters. Interpretation services are provided for these sessions.
- Revises the work of others in the District who have translated documents. Contributes to the training of district personnel and consultants who provide translation services to schools.
- It is kept in databases that include information on the temporary employee pool’s assessment findings and hours worked, as well as training status.
- Conveys important information to parents and students in the form of educational papers such as forms and notifications of medical emergencies as well as legal and confidential problems.
- Ensure accurate translation of textual materials such as flyer, social media posts, district wide announcements/press releases, and other types of documents into any language.
Skills:
- Ability to communicate in defined language beyond conversational level, allowing constituents with poor English language skills to engage fully in the indicated process.
- To effectively interact with coworkers, students, and others, it is essential to use effective communication techniques.
- Translation, Foreign Language, or equivalence necessary, as well as a proven ability to communicate effectively in both the written and spoken forms.
- Valid driver’s license and readiness to utilize own vehicle while translating in school and community contexts
- Fluency in two languages at an educated native speaker level, as well as an awareness of the culture that underpins each language, is required for this qualification.
