Job Description
The Radiologist conducts simple to complicated diagnostic radiography operations with little supervision, as directed by a certified physician. Applying x-ray energy to aid in the diagnosis or treatment of patients of all ages, uses professional judgment in delivering health care services.

Qualifications:
- Follows all aseptic protocols throughout medical and surgical procedures, uses efficient infection control measures, and can explain the universal precaution principle thoroughly, among other things.
- Determine if the patient is experiencing any pain that may be interfering with the imaging technique, contact the appropriate physician for assistance, and continue with the PI process.
- Ensures that all exams are labeled with the patient’s name, date, technologist’s name, and examination time. Patients are covered while in transit and throughout surgeries. Compliance with approved agencies as well as state and federal regulations.
- Adheres to department exam protocols, modifies patient procedures based on the patient’s physical and cognitive capacities, and charges appropriately for all completed examinations.
- Conducts organ or body scans on patients to assist doctors with interventional procedures and to give diagnostic help. Prepares and arranges patients with precision, as well as selecting anatomic and technical factors.
- Percutaneous operations, including peripheral interventions, may be performed by those who have a high degree of expertise and ability. An external pacemaker and defibrillator must be operated by someone who is capable of recognizing cardiac arrhythmias and responding in accordance with established emergency procedures. In the case of a cardiac emergency, intervenes with the proper treatment.
- The nurse ensures that patient operations are carried out safely and efficiently. In the event that radiation safety regulations are required, they are scrupulously followed. Maintaining a working knowledge of cardiac principles and clinical practices.
- Monitors records of photos captured and delivered to the radiologist to verify that all findings are provided to the physician and patient, According to policy, save all of the radiological pictures
- Prepares and delivers contrast media and/or drugs within the established area of practice and in accordance with relevant state and federal laws Observes the patient during the surgery and records any abnormalities. Monitors procedures and makes recommendations for changes or improvements as needed.
- Accompanied by an assistant, patients are escorted from their exam rooms to the radiology department, where they are put on an x-ray table and trained on how to hold their breath and position their bodies for the best possible images to be obtained.
Skills:
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Radiologic Technician (RT(R), or Cardiovascular Technician (CVT)) or RCIS is required (RCIS)
- As mandated by the State, a license and/or fluoroscopic permission. Current BCLS and all applicable state and federal rules must be understood (AHA), A minimum of one year of acute clinical radiography is recommended. a JRCERT or ABHES-accredited degree or diploma
- Got a license from the right organization. To work, you need to be a fellow of the American Board of Radiology. Always be a part of the Medical Protective Association (or equivalent).
- A bachelor’s degree in medicine or osteopathic medicine from an accredited institution is required, as does participation in a radiology residency program.
