Full-Time Freelance Creative Director – Cairo
Job Description
In your role as Creative Director, you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing original strategies and creative guidelines to build or maintain brand equity for both new and existing products across our entire catalog. Leading and mentoring a team of design professionals (graphic designers, industrial designers, photographers, illustrators, etc.) and participating in multi-disciplinary cross-functional teams (strategists, marketers, copywriters, etc.) and frequently collaborating with external consultants, freelancers, and agency partners, this position supports and drives the department’s overall efforts and strategic vision. The Director of Creativity will present critical initiatives to upper management with assurance and humility. The ideal Creative Director is someone who can defend their work using design logic but is also open to new ideas. Your ability to articulate and illustrate your ideas will determine how far you go in this role. In order to succeed in this role, candidates need to be able to adapt to a variety of situations, including group brainstorming sessions and collaborative workshops.

Qualifications:
- Takes part in brand briefings and actively accepts and questions alternate offers depending on the company’s creative strategy.
- Reviews creative projects internally with the team; mentors, coaches, and guides junior personnel.
- Promptly provides clients with well-crafted presentations that are not just informative but also interesting, visually appealing, and persuasive.
- Examines the artistic industry; follows developments and new trends.
- Ensures that a high level of inventiveness is maintained with meticulous attention to detail.
- delivers creative projects with a sound, well-articulated creative approach, supporting the entire efforts of the internal creative department.
- keeps the look of the original brand intact while spreading it. Designs, maintains, and promotes consistent visual representations of the brand as needed.
- Coordinating with the Account Management lead and other department heads to set budgets, timelines, and deliverables is important for keeping costs down.
- Ensures timely and informative communication takes place between the creative function and business partners.
- Assists internal and external partners to represent the governance and equity of core brands; acts as a constant equity champion to maintain brand continuity both inside and outside the firm.
Skills:
- Ability to use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator at an intermediate level.
- Six years of professional experience in graphic design, communications, or advertising (including package design), with increasing levels of responsibility, and a master’s degree in a related field.
