Job Description
The Video Producer is responsible for seeing projects through from inception to completion, either solo or with the help of a team. Faculty and student research, human-interest stories, advertisements, education, live events, and other activities that boost the university’s image may be the subject of the projects. The Video Producer should have an approachable manner and the maturity to interact successfully with a wide range of people, from C-suite executives to college freshmen. The Video Producer, under the direction of the Director of Media Production, works closely with the Media Production team and the wider Marketing and Communications Agency on strategic video projects from inception to completion, across a variety of distribution platforms.

Qualifications:
- Be cautious that the film doesn’t detract from the university’s reputation and doesn’t go against our brand’s ethos.
- During production, take on the role of director and oversee aspects of camera, lighting, talent, and audio.
- Applicants who have prior experience with photography may be required to draw on that knowledge on occasion.
- Put your movies up on video-sharing sites like Vimeo and YouTube. Monitoring viewership and analytics might help you expand your reach and save time.
- Complete the task such that the audio and video meet our high standards.
- Take control of video equipment such cameras, teleprompters, and microphones as needed.
- Learn about and adopt the newest computer programs, video capture devices, and industry developments.
- It is important to secure copyright for all media files. Partner with outside parties to secure licenses if needed.
- Produce a finished video or audio project from scratch in accordance with the given schedule, including the generation of all necessary concepts, plans, shoots, and edits.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of our social media promotion strategy and regularly supply us with video clips and other content for our Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter sites.
Skills:
- High-quality graphics were created using Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in video production; portfolio demonstrating completion of multiple projects of a high standard.
- Experience with various camera settings, such as the Sony FS7 and A7S, as well as remote filming using zoom, skype, etc.
- A background in capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, media management, and archiving project material is preferred.
- familiarity with and experience using video editing software (we use Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro at the moment);
