Successful candidates will be comfortable working under pressure, have a working grasp of Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel), and have experience managing many phone lines. Self-reliance is a necessary skill in the modern workplace. The company is growing, and this position is essential to its success. The ideal candidate will have experience with both large vehicle (tractor trailer) and small vehicle (box truck) dispatch. The key to providing uninterrupted service is thorough preparation, execution, and communication with those involved. The ideal candidate will follow all of the company’s rules and regulations and maintain high levels of customer service. The ideal candidate would have excellent people skills and a solution-oriented mindset.

Qualifications:
- Communicating last-minute changes or cancellations to consumers and drivers.
- maintains the sourcing standards and delivery deadlines set by the customer.
- Make any necessary driver pre-check calls two hours before the designated report time to ensure understanding and availability.
- Coordinate closely with the shift and departmental customer service reps to ensure that customers are kept informed of any delays or problems as soon as possible.
- Get familiar with the specifics and requirements of each SOP your company serves.
- Become well-versed in the locations of the operational markets, the types of businesses found in each, and the types of driving teams that are in place.
- Details such as the bill of lading and freight counts, arrival and departure times, and evidence of delivery must be entered precisely as orders are fulfilled.
- To understand your coverage options before orders enter the system, constantly check the status of the capacity in your driver fleets rather than responding to orders as they are placed.
- Pickup and delivery times can be kept to a minimum by employing GPS and dispatch technologies to keep tabs on drivers and maintaining regular phone contact.
- Jot down a full account of your conversation with the driver or the customer in the comments section of the order ticket.
