The capacity to think both creatively and analytically is required of the Digital Content Manager. Producing and publishing material, writing, editing, proofreading, developing content strategies, and collaborating with municipal agencies are all part of the job description. The Digital Content Manager is responsible for the design, development, and management of the City’s websites, web-facing apps, and digital content systems. The Digital Content Manager will be in charge of overseeing and managing web-related initiatives and digital content channels. This person will collaborate with departments to provide material for the website as well as other digital channels such as digital signs and the government channel.

Qualifications:

  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with employees, volunteers, authors, editors, and other digital support professionals (including suppliers) engaged in digital content generation and online program participation. Actively participates in necessary department, team, and 1-1 meetings, both regularly planned and ad hoc.

  • Allotted websites, as well as Integrated Marketing and the organization as a whole, have goals that must be met if the company is to meet its stated goals in content and message development and delivery efforts to establish oneself as an authority on a certain topic and a go-to resource in that field
  • Participates actively in monthly and quarterly metric analysis and reporting for customers and leadership, keeping up of the latest digital trends and outcomes. All three levels of user journey funnel (acquisition, engagement, and conversion) are studied and progress is made at all three levels of the user journey funnel. Works in close coordination with the Integrated Marketing team to consistently improve content on assigned websites and overall site quality with the help of web team leaders and colleagues, business unit customers.
  • Leverages other teams (Editorial, Science, Research, etc.) to maintain material fresh, accurate, and relevant for each website’s readership.
  • Curates, publishes, and updates unique material for online domains to enhance user experience. This task may entail replying to requesters through an intake form or another manner. This task involves experience with a number of digital technologies, including the content management system (Sitecore) and other web-related tools needed to handle web page, interactive tool, app, blog, patient forum, and video material.
  • You’ll be in control of everything from new items and messaging to maintaining and retiring old content over its entire lifespan.
  • Serve as the Website Manager and function as the primary point of contact for the site on a daily basis. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising all areas of the website, including its creation, content posting, updates, upgrades, operations, and reporting.
  • May align workflow and production review by designated employees to ensure deadlines, content quality, and audience needs are met. Supports proposal development to gain or renew sponsors. Explains digital capabilities/limitations to leadership team.
  • This person is willing to accept and assist numerous one-time web team projects, such doing quality assurance tests on websites or software following updates. Performs audits and gap studies of digital material as required or requested to grow and improve online content inventory.

Skills:

  • A skilled communicator with three years of experience in a variety of contexts, including but not limited to: writing for a digital audience, interacting with internal groups, and providing support to suppliers and sponsors.
  • Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a field that is related to either of those subjects, as well as at least three years of experience leading digital or web project management, along with an understanding of responsive design, usability, accessibility, and content optimization.
  • Demonstrated experience creating, managing, and keeping up-to-date dynamic data-driven web pages and websites, as well as Content Management Systems in Drupal. Familiarity with HTML/CSS/DHTML/PHP development.
  • The ability to use an enterprise Content Management System (CMS) to run a large website, including structure, navigation, templates, modules, pages, and content (Episerver preferred).
  • Expertise in using social media sites such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram for the aim of increasing brand exposure and engagement, including media purchasing, return on investment assessment, and campaign implementation.
