Qualifications:

- Support the museum system’s volunteer program by aiding with recruiting efforts, putting volunteers in suitable roles, and ensuring volunteers are appropriately educated.
- Aid in ensuring that the museum system maintains its commitment to diversity, equality, accessibility, and inclusion in its programming, personnel, and public interactions by meeting the cognitive, physical, and social/emotional requirements of a varied range of visitors.
- Participates in all aspects of the day-to-day collection management tasks. Resources such as antiquities, artworks, and archives are all cared for by the museum.
- Establish and keep in place positive proactive relationships with other municipal departments as well as with outside suppliers, programming partners, and educational institutions.
- playing a key role in the long-term development and administration of collections and the information they contain or exhibitions
- Retains abreast of modern historical literature and interpretative best practices, stays abreast of cutting-edge research and new historical arguments, and looks for chances to incorporate current historical knowledge into programming.
- Research the history of computing on your own and write about it in peer-reviewed journals or books. This includes looking into the design, technology, culture, and historical significance of computers.
Skills:
- being able to generate and edit metadata for digital collections, finding aids and other archive descriptions.

- Four years of experience that supplied knowledge similar to that generally obtained by successfully completing a four-year term of study in museum work or a related subject matter area.
- Working as a team member, creating and sustaining strong working relationships with coworkers, volunteers, and members of the general public has been shown.
- The ability to communicate with both internal teams and external stakeholders in a clear and effective manner; familiarity with public speaking; and a thorough understanding of museum best practices.
