Qualifications:
- Establishing a climate of mutual trust and respect throughout the company’s several divisions will aid the management team in making prudent financial choices. Conduct weekly manufacturing performance meetings, yearly shutdown project accrual budget meetings, and costing effects training for others to actively transmit a complete grasp of company performance data to all personnel.
- For management to make educated financial and performance choices, all company performance data must be accurate and well-prepared. In order to guarantee customer satisfaction, update/maintain the yearly standard cost roll and cost new goods for the sales staff. Analyze monthly freight costs, inventory cycle counts, month-end inventories, and invoice/spending data for data integrity. Keep an eye out for anomalies, monthly inflation, or areas where you may minimize costs. Make sure that all production credits, charges, and accruals are properly documented with the support of the manufacturing team. An audit should be performed at least once a year. Complete and submit monthly and quarterly reporting requirements in compliance with the applicable legislation.
- Analysis and analysis of accounting data to identify and fix any expense recording problems. Finding and redistributing previously unrecorded costs is part of this, as is figuring out where they go in the broader cost structure.
- Develops or updates current cost accounting data using suitable costing procedures to give accurate and timely financial information that meets informational needs.
- Advice and help on accounting and financial management issues, information analysis, dispute resolution aid, and formulation of recommendations for management choices are all examples of what an accountant does.
- It is necessary to review and reconcile accounting records (such as general ledger accounts) and to generate reconciliation spreadsheets.
- To identify, measure, accrue and report costs of activities, cost management methods are created or modified and appropriate costing methodologies are utilized.
- Maintains and is in charge of a sophisticated accounting system that covers management and cost accounting, among others. Participates in the agency’s forecasting, payroll, and budget planning, among other activities.
- Modifications to the financial management system were mandated by new requirements for financial reporting.
- Consider existing data, predicted future costs, and consumer demand when developing and implementing cost-reducing process innovations to improve the financial performance of production. In order to ensure that the yearly inventory of the facilities plays a significant role, it is imperative that all parties involved collaborate. Participate actively in the project’s accruing closeout.
Skills:
- Analysis of ERP system transactions and the ability to convey results to management need a thorough knowledge of the financial, distribution, and manufacturing systems.
- At least 24 semester hours of accounting are needed for anyone pursuing a degree in business administration, finance, or public administration. The 24-hour period may contain up to six hours of business law credit.
- Monitoring of accounting systems for business operations and costs, such as payroll, travel, transportation, supplies, rentals, services, inventories, or commercial accounts
- The ability to grasp the production environment and the financial procedures linked with it; Understanding of the supply chain, receiving, inventory movement, operational process, and manufacturing concepts, A strong capacity to detect problem situations, acquire and evaluate relevant information, produce viable solutions, and offer suggestions and/or address the issue
