  • Uses lecture, case-study presentations, group learning activities, role-play, high-fidelity simulation scenarios, return-demonstration skills labs, written or online learning modules.
  • Coaches nursing personnel to enhance practice (remediation), career growth, or clinical progress. Maintains clinical skills and competency and models evidence-based practice.
  • In order to address the needs of both individual participants and the department as a whole, needs assessments and quality-improvement activities are used.
  • Providing educational opportunities such as orientation programs, individual development plans, in-service education, and continuing education opportunities, amongst other educational possibilities, is one example of what might be done.
  • A range of delivery techniques, such as telephonic or in-home instruction or video injection training, may help patients and their caretakers better understand their own and their loved ones’ medical situations.
  • In cooperation with nursing leaders and other unit-based educators, the individual in this role is responsible for developing clinical unit-based educational strategies to reach targeted results.
  • Integrate in a compliant manner, working with sales professionals, reimbursement experts, and other matrix partners, with the intention of improving the quality of care provided to patients.
  • Preceptor education and support activities are planned and implemented, using evidence-based curriculum, in order to create a successful clinical preceptor program Analyzes and makes adjustments to the preceptor program as a result of the results.
  • Provide skilled and unskilled training in these protocols to personnel who assist members with tracheostomy care, colostomy care, ostomy care, wound care, medication management, seizure support, and other procedures.
  • Nursing staff education and competence assessments are monitored and coordinated to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.


  • Capable of communicating effectively with members of the community, hospital staff, peers, superiors, and subordinates, A minimum of five years of relevant clinical experience is necessary, preferably with growing staff development or leadership responsibilities.
  • A baccalaureate, associate, or diploma in nursing is necessary. Bachelor’s degree necessary; BSN recommended. Masters in Nursing (Nursing Education or related) recommended.
  • Candidates must have shown leadership abilities and a commitment to education as a strategy of driving continuous quality improvement in patient care and service delivery.
  • To be eligible for this position, you must be currently licensed as an RPN. A valid BLS is necessary (BLS Instructor preferred). Any additional clinical specialty or national certification in nursing professional development would be an advantage.
  • You need to have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to juggle many responsibilities and operate without direct supervision.
