Job Description
A detail-oriented Drywall Finisher is needed to join our team. In order to prepare surfaces for final treatment, you’ll be responsible for sealing seams, repairing cracks, and smoothing imperfections on walls and ceilings. You should also make sure that everything is handled carefully. You must be able to complete projects fast while maintaining a high degree of quality in order to be successful in this profession. You’ll need a lot of stamina, physical strength, and time management skills. Clients’ goals must be understood, instructions must be followed, and projects must be completed on time and on budget.

Qualifications:
- Spread sealing compound between boards or panels, as well as over cracks, holes, nail heads, and screw heads, with trowels, broad knives, or spatulas.
- Serving as a good steward of our company’s physical assets, avoiding damage and misuse, reporting any needed repairs, and keeping your assigned area clean and organized are all examples of stewardship.
- Before final finishing, use trowels, brushes, rollers, or a texture hopper to apply texturizing chemicals or primers to walls or ceilings. To secure wallboard and metal structural components, add metal molding to the corners of the room.
- Productivity: Work as part of a team to create items that meet our quality requirements while meeting our productivity goals.
- Meet all attendance standards, be on time for the start of the shift, and adhere to the division’s attendance rules and regulations.
- Painting (with rollers, brushes, or spray applications), repairing vinyl wallpaper, staining wood, and applying other finishing materials are some of the methods used to completely finish interior surfaces in order to improve and preserve them. Surface finishes walls and surfaces using hand and power tools, and repairs and replaces damaged wood and metal doors, among other Finisher-related tasks.
- Communication with your supervisor and reporting any job-related challenges, as well as ensuring that all equipment and supplies are handled properly, is an important part of being an effective team member in the workplace.
- To deliver high-quality, timely, and cost-effective maintenance, communicates and collaborates with the supervisor, the client, and other trades and subcontractors.
- Help your Team Leader and Region Coordinator plan and organize the production operations in your area by discussing expected shortages of materials, identifying essential tool maintenance, and addressing any quality or productivity issues.
- By following to established safety norms and laws, we can keep our surroundings safe and clean. PPE should be worn at all times (PPE).
Skills:
- Must be able to walk, climb, and lift at least 50 pounds, as well as do other physical tasks.
- Carpentry, shop, mechanical drawing, and basic math courses are suggested in high school.
- The applicant should have a strong sense of leadership and a desire to learn and enhance his skills on a continuous basis.
- The ability to interpret architectural and technical drawings is crucial.
