Job Description

To assist in managing projects, we are looking for an assistant project manager. The chosen candidate will be in charge of overseeing every day-to-day activity involving the project’s internal staff, subcontractors, and owner’s representatives.

Qualifications:

  • Participate in the effective communication and management of performance required to accomplish the objectives of the company, the department, the team and the project.
  • Champions the orderly, timely transition of projects from the estimating phase to the field. This transition shall include project review meetings, which encompass a review of contract requirements, general conditions, schedules, budgets, subcontracts, and purchase order agreements.
  • Meet weekly and communicate daily with subcontractors to assess project progress, schedule, changes and deliveries.
  • With regard to given projects, the assistant project manager is in charge of ensuring their timely, safe, and successful completion.
  • Quality control and assurance services in accordance with company and departmental standards, customer and regulatory agency needs, and other standards
  • Responsible for cultivating current personal business relationships, including frequent client visits, proposal and budget formulation, and feedback gathering with the assistance of the PM.
  • Organize and foster teamwork amongst PM’s team members while supporting project implementation and management.
  • Design a project blueprint for maximum efficiency by evaluating current capabilities with technology, finances, supplies and talent.
  • Ensures compliance with operational, QA/QC, safety, environmental, and performance metrics.
  • Organize, manage, and oversee subcontractors in the accomplishment of task orders outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). Identify client needs, then translate these into operational plans.

Skills:

  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing work environment requires excellent interpersonal skills.
  • 5+ years of experience and leadership within teams exhibited.
  • Demonstrated abilities in management and leadership.
  • Microsoft Office tools proficiency (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • An approved management course, as well as a business degree or related applicable experience.
